HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA!!

Since today is my beautiful mother's birthday, I want to dedicate this blog to her. You're the best, Mom. Love you.

The past week went by pretty fast. Quick recap: went to dinner at Carrabba's with Rob for Valentine's Day on Tuesday, met the Director of Games Operations at the USOC on Wednesday, class on Thursday, skiing at Breck on Friday!, watched the Cats take down the Huskies yesterday and then Rob's senior night. So overall it was a pretty good week.

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people." -Audrey Hepburn

What's Next??
Jen, Loha, and I are starting the INSANITY workouts tomorrow. I got tired just watching one of the workouts haha. So we'll see how that goes. Then LOHA's BDAY on Tuesday! Class and work and sandcreek soccer Wednesday and Thursday and then downtown Denver on Friday night! Only one week left of being a baby.

But for now I'm gonna go to dinner with Rob and go see Unknown! ...the new Liam Neeson movie. I'll let you all know how it is. Hope you have a great week!

Peace & Blessings,

Love Is Where You Find It

I'm thinking the title of this blog should no longer be "Sunday" updates...it should probably be "Updates when I remember/have time". Anyways, Happy Belated Valentine's Day! In honor of the holiday of love, I wanted to post some pictures I've taken and found recently. So here ya goooo...

Back to the Cold

So I've realized these have become more Monday updates than Sunday updates. Regardless...it was a pretty good week. Good to be home with family and warm weather for a couple days. Not much to update, so I'll just post some pictures from the weekend.

What's Next??
Nothing too exciting this week. Class, work, class, sandcreek soccer, class. Gonna be a long week. Supposed to warm up weather wise this weekend though.

Time for bed.

New Year, New Posts

I promise to post every week.
I promise to post every week.
I promise to post every week.
I promise to post every week.
I promise to post every week.
I promise to TRY and post every week...

So I've been back in Colorado for a little more than 2 weeks now and it has been COLD. Since the weather wasn't too bad before I went home for break in December, I figured it would take a turn for the worse and it did. I like snow on the mountains, but not so much in the Springs (especially since I'm still learning how to drive in it...) Speaking of the mountains...Breckenridge got 54 inches in 7 days! Crazy. I went up on Friday with a few friends and we had a pretty good time. It was a little windy, but there was some powder on most of the runs so it made up for it.

While I wish I was up here in Colorado just to go skiing, I unfortunately also have classes to attend. They started this past week and actually weren't too terrible. This semester I'm taking an information systems class, an international/olympic/amateur sport management class, an operations management class, and a sport marketing class. So overall, the classes should be pretty interesting hopefully. I'm most looking forward to the international and olympic sport class since that's what I'm interested in for a future career.

Speaking of jobs, I have two so far this semester. I'm working again in the computer lab on Tuesday nights....getting paid to do my homework...not much better than that. My other job will be coaching Sandcreek High School's JV women's soccer team with my roommate Jen. Tryouts start February 28th, but there are optional training sessions every Wednesday and Friday night until then so those will keep me busy. I don't have much experience coaching, but I'm excited to see what we can do. It will definitely be a learning opportunity.

Anyways, that's about it for now. No pictures to share this week...sorry.

Lowlights of the Week:

  • Classes started...
  • I lost one of my favorite earrings down my bathroom sink.
  • Driving around for 20 minutes before each of my classes this week just to find a parking spot

    Highlights of the Week:
    • Skiing powder at Breck!

    Back on the Map

It's been a crazy hectic last month, but I'm back on the map now.

With soccer season over and classes in a bit of a lull, I have actually had some free time...and I've done basically nothing...and it's been great. I've caught up on sleep, did some major cleaning around the apartment, and relaaaaaaaaxed.

Here's some photos from the past few weeks...Senior Day, Halloween...

    Lowlights of the Past Month:

    • Discovering that I have chronic hives
    • Losing to Highlands in playoffs

    Highlights of the Past Month:
    • Family coming to visit me...twice!
    • Soccer being over
    • P.F. Changs twice in one week :)

"Happiness isn't circumstance-dependent; it's a frame of mind. You and you alone decide how to interpret everything that happens."

    What's Next??
    • Ski slopes are officially open! Probably gonna hit up Breckenridge this Friday :)
    • Tucson bound on Saturday!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

    Happy Columbus Day!

    Short update this week...

Sooo...not a great week for my sports teams. We went 0-2 on the weekend, Cats lost, and the Chargers lost. Our games went pretty horribly. We lost 6-2 to Kearney and 6-1 to Regis. 12 goals against in one weekend, 5 own goals, 2 pks...terrible. Anyways, on to the next one...

I only have one picture for you guys this week, sorry. There's not too many things to take pictures of in Nebraska...

    Lowlights of the Week:
    • Driving all the way to Nebraska to lose 6-2
    • Scoring 5 goals on ourselves
    • Getting killed by Regis
    • Hives came back with vengeance

    Highlights of the Week:
    • hmm...

    What's next??
No class tomorrow. Gotta work on my science midterm all day. Wednesday = super busy. Picking up the 'rents from Denver! Then class, getting my "hives" looked at, and game day! Gotta get a W. Games on Friday and Sunday as well. W's a must. Gotta turn this season around.

Hope everyone has a great week! Find the positives!

I don't need a microphone to say what I been thinking

Two weeks without an update again...apologies. I don't really know where to start, so I'll just do some quick updates...

    • We beat CSU Pueblo 2-1 in OT. Not a huge crowd for THE MARCH because of the rain, but it was still a fun night game.
    • We lost to Fort Lewis 1-0 off a free kick that was not a foul.
    • We beat Mesa State 3-2, but should have played better.
    • Telluride, Colorado is absolutely gorgeous in September.
    • I found out my "bug bites" aren't bug bites. They could be hives, but the doctors (plural...3 doctors) don't really know what they are.
    • Finance requires more hours of studying than I am able to give it.
    • Colorado weather is still as strange as ever. 80s and 90s all of September and then October hit and it got freezing...
    • I could never be an elementary school teacher. We volunteered at Rudy Elementary school's field day and the little kids were too much for me.
    • We beat Colorado Christian 3-0. We played pretty well and Coach gave us the weekend off...that was a first!
Alright now here's some pictures from the past 2 weeks...

    My "bug bites"...

Lowlights of the past 2 Weeks:
    • Being on the bus for the majority of last weekend (4am Friday to 10pm Sunday)
    • Losing to Fort Lewis on a dumb goal
    • Hives...
    • Feeling like I failed my Finance test

Highlights of the past 2 Weeks:
    • Beating Pueblo, Mesa State, and Christian
    • Finding out I did well on my Finance test
    • Two days off from soccer

    What's next??
Another somewhat long week coming up. Practices, classes, work. We leave Thursday for Kearney, Nebraska, play Friday night, come home Saturday, and play at Regis on Sunday. Gonna be a busy weekend.

Hope you all have an awesome week.

    Peace & Blessings,
